Bad Neighbors Mods

Auction: True Bidding, Escrow, Auction Wallet, and Economy Controls

The auction system has grown into true timed auctions with bidding, seller and bidder flows, configurable fees, auction wallet handling, redemption, history, and admin economy tools.

Player-facing flow

  • Players can list items from locked auction containers with !auction sell.
  • Bidders use !auction bid, with funds escrowed until the auction resolves.
  • Players can check active listings, watch auctions they are participating in, review auction history, cancel eligible auctions, redeem won or returned items, and withdraw auction wallet funds.
  • Help topics are split into sell, bid, withdraw, history, and watch so the system is discoverable in-game.

Auction wallet

AWallet is auction-only currency handling. It tracks the auction currency item, supports wallet checks and admin adjustments, and keeps auction payouts separate from the regular bank/wallet concepts. Seller proceeds can sit in virtual auction funds until the player withdraws them.

Admin and economy controls

  • Configurable listing fees, cancel fees, max auctions per player, allowed durations, active-listing rebroadcasts, and help reminders.
  • Anti-sniping can extend auctions near the end, with a cap on extensions.
  • Admin commands can list, cancel, close, inspect outstanding claims, and report auction economy totals such as listing fees, cancel fees, and tax.
  • Won or returned items are deferred into redeemable auction claims instead of relying on fragile immediate delivery.

Credit note: Bad Neighbors is working from the great work of earlier 7 Days to Die mod builders, including the people who built and maintained the original ServerTools ideas. Some of these additions are new experiments; others are updated, more refined versions of ideas that have been circulating in the modding community for years. We want the record to reflect that community foundation.
