What changed
The old Robotic Inbox and Robotic Assembler blocks were removed from the generated XML and replaced by purpose-built SORTI and CRAFTI blocks. Instead of one broad automation idea trying to do too much, the system now has separate tools for sorting storage and staging crafting materials.
Why split it
- Storage output and crafting input are different player workflows.
- A sorter should push items into matching nearby containers.
- A crafting helper should pull exact ingredients into a clean staging container.
- Splitting the idea makes permissions, passwords, help text, recipes, and player expectations cleaner.
Where it led
Robotic Inbox became the bridge into SORTI and CRAFTI: two clearer blocks with their own recipes, localization, loot containers, progression entries, and help flows.
Credit note: Bad Neighbors is working from the great work of earlier 7 Days to Die mod builders, including the people who built and maintained the original ServerTools ideas. Some additions are new experiments; others are updated, more refined versions of ideas that have been circulating in the modding community for years. We want the record to reflect that community foundation.
